Program Description: NRCKS is hybrid program for early career REI nurses consisting of 8 online learning modules and optional interactive live and recorded sessions provided by the ASRM Nurses’ Professional Group. The interactive sessions include “Ask the Expert”, practical cases and soft skills training. The focus of the program is teaching communication, knowledge, and skills.
Program Features: Micro-modules, short engaging didactics by content experts, immersive 3D models, interactive elements, vivid and descriptive videos, immediate reinforcement of learning, and case scenarios for practical application.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES AND COURSE OUTLINE
Module Description:
Module 1: In Module 1 content experts Drs. Eve Feinberg, Ruben Alvero, and Ranjith Ramasamy discuss the female and male reproductive anatomy and physiology. This module is a recap for incoming nurses before proceeding into REI topics.
Module 1 has four learning objectives:
· Define Infertility presented by Dr. Feinberg
· Female Anatomy presented by Dr. Feinberg
· Male Anatomy presented by Dr. Alvero
· Infertility Workup
o Male workup presented by Dr. Ramasamy
o Female workup presented by Dr. Feinberg
Module 2: In this module content expert Dr. James Wren discusses the causes and treatment of male infertility. Module 2 has four learning objectives:
· Examine the indications for male infertility assessment presented by Dr. James Wren
· Understand the initial investigations in a male infertility assessment presented by Dr. James Wren
· Differentiate obstructive from non-obstructive azoospermia presented by Dr. James Wren
· Understand the causes of male infertility presented by Dr. James Wren
Module 3: In this module content experts Drs. Erica Johnstone and Marcelle Cedars will discuss the common causes of ovulatory dysfunction, tubal and pelvic factors causing female infertility and explore the effect of aging on ovarian function and fertility.
Module 3 has four learning objectives:
· Describe the causes of infertility presented by Dr. Erica Johnstone
· Describe the common causes of ovulatory dysfunction as a cause of female infertility presented by Dr. Erica Johnstone
· Discuss tubal and pelvic factors causing female infertility presented by Dr. Marcelle Cedars
· Explore the effect of aging on ovarian function and fertility presented by Dr. Marcelle Cedars
Module 4: In this module, content experts Drs. Rachel Weinerman and Jorge Chavarro will describe the menstrual cycle, common endocrine disorders, and lifestyle factors that cause infertility.
Module 4 has three learning objectives

· Under the causes of endocrine disorders presented by Dr. Rachel Weinerman
· Under the impact of diet and lifestyle on infertility presented by Dr. Jorge Chavarro
Module 5: In this module, content expert Dr. Paul Lin explores the fundamentals of endometriosis and discusses the importance of early diagnosis and management.
Module 5 has five learning objectives:
· Examine the causes of endometriosis presented by Dr. Paul Lin
· Describe the symptoms of endometriosis presented by Dr. Paul Lin
· Understand the treatment options for endometriosis presented by Dr. Paul Lin
· Understand need for surgery for endometriosis presented by Dr. Paul Lin
Module 6: In this module content experts Dr. Anne Steiner will define ovarian reserve, clinical implications, and assessment.
Module 6 has four learning objectives:

Module 7: In this module, content expert Dr. Blake Evans explores indications for intrauterine insemination (IUI), procedure for IUI, risks of multiple pregnancy and strategies to minimize multiple gestation associated with infertility treatment.
Module 7 has four learning objectives:

TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is designed for early career or entry-level nurses and nurse practitioners in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
