The relationship between infertility and sexual function is complex. Patients often feel like sex is ‘medicalized’ during fertility treatment, and associated with “failure,” which can drain intimacy and libido. Patients can experience performance anxiety during fertility care (e.g., providing sperm samples) and timed intercourse. An interdisciplinary panel of experts will discuss strategies to improve sexual function among individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment. This webinar will address what is known about the relationship between (in)fertility and sexual dysfunction, how to identify male and female sexual dysfunction, how to address it in your practice, and when to refer to a specialist.
